Corruption refers to any activity that is a short-cut or a
loophole to a desired result which otherwise whole have not been possible or
taken longer to happen. Not doing the right thing, not abiding by the law of
the land, misuse of power and not being morally ethical is also corruption.
Causes of
Corruption:
1. Greed for Power and Resource
People want to have more power, socio-political, to be able to have
dominion over the people. So, they go evil. Others want to have more material
resources so they take bribe, in many forms, and let people do evil.
2. Poverty
It is natural human instinct to be selfish. If their basic needs are not
fulfilled they don’t care about morality or ethics. They will go to any extent
to satisfy their basic needs and ensure their survival.
3. Helplessness of good people
It is often seen that the number of corrupt people are more than good
people. Thereby, even if the good people don’t
do anything corrupt directly but support all the same.
4. The evil nature of human
People
that are engaged in anti-social activities like rape, murder, theft, etc. are
corrupt simply because of the lust of flesh and because their mind has elevated
to such a level of violence and selfishness that they don’t care for human life
or anything around them.

of corruption:

Because there is corruption people can take narrow way
and escape law and be done with it. It does help people in minor cases like
traffics or getting a document from public/private concerns, etc.

A better
(standard of) living
Corrupt people usually have more power and resources
which automatically ensures a better and luxurious life.
3.
Availing
goods and services
Many goods and services that are not to be made
available to the people by the law of the land are made available by the smugglers
or the corrupt businessmen.
4.
Enjoying
the evil nature
Sexual immoralities, gender bias, feeling of superiority
over others are some evil nature of the human which are enjoyed due to presence
of corruption.
Disadvantages
of corruption:
Following are the disadvantages of corruption:
1. People are deprived of justice
People with power and resources always get their way through everything
and poor and powerless are the ones harassed and rules levied upon.
2. Presence of anti-social activities
All anti-social and humane activities are the results of poor/no moral
and ethics that should govern human life.
3. Humanity lost
When
a human stops valuing another life the person ceases to be a human. Corruption in
all forms have turned people into even lesser than animals.
